GRADY L. CROSBY
GRADY L. CROSBY, ESQ. currently serves as General Counsel and Secretary for National Textiles, L.L.C. Based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, National Textiles operates 12 yarn and textile manufacturing facilities across 5 states in the southeast U.S. and employs approximately 5000 people. National Textiles manufactures yarn and textile products for use in the apparel industry and is one of the largest yarn and textile manufacturers in the world. Mr. Crosby handles a wide variety of matters from corporate compliance and corporate governance to labor and employment issues. Prior to joining National Textiles, Mr. Crosby served as Staff Counsel for the Sara Lee Corporation and particularly for the Personal Products Division of the Sara Lee Corporation in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Prior to his tenure with the Sara Lee Corporation, Mr. Crosby was an associate with Poyner & Spruill, L.L.P. in Raleigh, North Carolina where he concentrated on general business litigation as well as bankruptcy law serving as counsel for a Chapter 7 trustee in the U.S. Eastern District Bankruptcy Courts. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988 from Howard University in Washington, D.C. and his Juris Doctorate degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1991. Mr. Crosby is a member of the American Bar Association, American Corporate Counsel Association, American Society of Corporate Secretaries, National Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association, and the North Carolina Association of Black Lawyers. Mr. Crosby recently served on the Board of Governors of the North Carolina Bar Association which is the largest voluntary Bar Association in the State of North Carolina encompassing some 11,000 lawyers across the State. Mr. Crosby has also served on the Board of Directors of the Winston-Salem Urban League. Mr. Crosby currently serves as Chairman of the Governing Council of Quality Education Institute, a private non-profit elementary school in Winston-Salem, as well as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Quality Education Academy, a public charter middle school located in Winston-Salem.
